Wordless Wednesday: Chattanooga reverie

On a slow news day here are a few shots from my trip to Chattanooga last October, to hear and meet Ann Coulter.
Sorry! No pics of Annie but in case you missed this back in the day, you can see and hear me and my daughter being ever-so-briefly interviewed at the event here.
Seriously could I have been dorkier? But the low light was most becoming; don't you agree?

At least Ann signed my copy of Treason.
And then -- of course! -- we visited a cemetery.
Namely, Chattanooga National Cemetery.
I don't particularly like the Andrews Raiders (Yankehs!) or what they did, but I like the memorial to them placed by the citizens of the great state of Ohio.
That there locomotive is a to-scale replica of The General.
Happy Wednesday ... not so wordless after all!
That was close.

You weren't dorky! I liked what you had to say. Great cemetery pics too!
Seriously Jenny, are you ever wordless? I didn't know you are famous? Maybe I'll have to get YOUR autograph.
I was interviewed on TV once, on the 10 o'clock news. My old Mum and I were picketing a modeling agency. The owner was a scumbag and nasty and he ripped us off. Before we picketed, I found out that the local TV station had done an expose (imagine an acute on the "e" because I don't know how to add it) on him so I let them know what we were doing and they were obliging enough to send a reporter. It was freezing cold but we had fun. Lots of validation from the locals, AND I got to look dorky on television.
Not so wordless after all? Nothing wrong with words.
You looked and sounded marvelous! Yes, those low level light conditions work wonders, LOL! You were such a lucky duck (and your lovely daughter too!) to meet Ann Coulter. I didn't even know she was speaking in Chattanooga! And I didn't know that there was a national cemetary in Chattanooga either.
Mari ... are you sure? LOL I cringe when I see and listen to that. But it was a wonderful day. And I wish I'd had time to appreciate that beautiful cemetery more! It was rainy and we had to skedaddle back to Knoxville.
Hobbit ... Actually, no! HAHA as if you have to ask. No, I'm usually able to weigh in not only verbally but using many other forms of communication both verbal and non-verbal. Never any problem there. Now, tell me .... were you protesting the agency's non-honoring of your modeling contract? Because that would get me hopping mad too.
Debbie ... exactly! Nothing wrong at all, and plain talk is easily understood.
Donna M. ... Why thanks, luv! My daughter keeps up with Ann via her web site and, as she said, has seen her in person three times! The first was at Furman University in Greenville a couple of years ago, and TG went too and was able to ask a question, and Ann complimented him on his question! They both got to meet her afterwards. Audrey later flew to Chicago to hear Ann debate Bill Maher at the Chicago Theater ... that was expensive but she loved it. The speech at UT Chattanooga last October was free and although we were afraid we weren't going to be able to get seats (despite getting there hours in advance), we did and it was so great! You'll have to go see that cemetery. Most inspiring.
I was protesting the owner's luring us into paying him several hundred dollars for photos and telling me that Annie was marketable as a model, only to find out after I had paid him that she was too short and no reputable agency would have taken her on. Beauty is not all that's required, apparently! And his refusal to return my money the day after I paid him. No photos were taken. AND he tried to make us pay the second installment! He was a nasty man with a bad reputation. In my defense, i had been nagged to death by my teenage daughter and was ready to do anything to get her off my back. On the bright side, the subject of modeling didn't come up again!
Hobbit ... ooh, that's bad! And she is so GORGEOUS! Too short? What about modeling that doesn't require height? Hard for me to believe she couldn't work as a model any day of the week. Shows how much they don't know. But I'll bet you and your Mum put the fear of God into him!
Love these Superior Snaps. Bravo!
Melissa ... thanks luv!
I think you and your daughter did very well, you were clear and precise. I apologize for not commenting earlier but my tech support has been playing with my computer and...
Irene ... no apology necessary! But you're always missed until you show up. =:~D
We'll have to make it down there to Chattanooga (not on a silly business trip, LOL) and see that cemetary. And how wonder that your family has seen one of the true patriots of our time.
Donna M. ... you MUST make that trip on a beautiful fall day. I love Chattanooga. A truly interesting town with so much to do and see!
