Happy Birthday Dear Emily

My favorite poet in the whole world -- and yes, that is saying something -- was born on this day in 1830 in Amherst, Massachusetts.
I'm busy and so are you but I just wanted to wish her a happy birthday.
And to say that I cherish the memory of one who could write with such brilliant clarity, it takes the breath away.
Born at Christmastime, Emily was a light among lights.
It is my dream to someday pay my respects at her grave. And to take pictures there, and to share them with you.
That is all for now.

A counterfeit -- a Plated Person --
I would not be --
Whatever strata of Iniquity
My Nature underlie --
Truth is good Health -- and Safety, and the Sky.
How meagre, what an Exile -- is a Lie,
And Vocal -- when we die --
~Emily Elizabeth Dickinson (December 10, 1830 - May 15, 1886)~
