Challenge the paradigm
You know those photo shoots?
The ones depicting a bevy of painfully cute kids behaving adorably?
In unison? Means all at once?
This wasn't that.
To me, they're the cutest -- my four grandchildren, that is.
But at this juncture, Dagny was having none of it.
However, it had been an ambitious shoot up to that point.
And we had accomplished a great deal.
It's human nature to want it all. It's actual life to get it some.
The secret is to enjoy it while it's happening, and to make memories.
The imperfect kind are best.
And that is all for now.

Happy Wednesday :: Merry Christmas

Look at these sweethearts all dressed up! I love how the unflappable girl holding Dagny is pretending valiantly that all is A-OK! I feel your pain when trying to photograph more than one child and have the shot turn out marginally good. (For the Christmas card, of course it must be perfect.) However, this will be the favorite shot later when the kids get a little older, and they can all reminisce, "Do you remember when..." Hope you have cooled off there - I've been trying to blow some cold air your way.
Andrew and Dagny in this picture...hahahhahaha...: )
I took family photos of Laura's family and we had the same issues with Ruby. It wasn't easy with 2 kids - 4 would be worse!
However - those are 4 adorable kids, even when one is crying!
I happen to love that "real" photo! I think it should make a reappearance at Dagny's graduation open house--on her "life" picture board. HAH!
They are PRECIOUS! It took about 17 tries for me to get the three greats to kind of look at me. :)
Love you, Jenny. And, so appreciate your friendship.
xoxo
Of course, the ONE picture where Melanie is looking right into the camera. I love it.
