Baby steps
TG drove me up to North Carolina yesterday barely ahead of the snow.
I hoped all the way that my presence in the Tarheel State would convince the new baby to join us.
So far no good, but Stephanie is at the doctor's office this morning and one can only hope they are discussing options.
After all, her due date is today.
TG's heading back home for work in a little bit, but he had time to take Allissa and me for a walk in the lane.
Javier came along too.
There was bright sunshine but it was cold enough for crunchy snow dollops to remain atop the fence stiles.
Meanwhile, Melanie is at school where she ended up after a two-hour weather delay.
Back to the subject of babies.
If I see one, I shall inform you immediately.

Come on baby - we're all waiting for you!
@Mari ... the word "anticipation" was coined for times like this! ~J.
Waiting on pins and needles.
@Irene ... it hurts so good. ~J.
Oh my goodness, waiting is the hardest thing to do when you can hardly wait to see this precious bundle of joy. I thought that surely she would deliver the little fella by her due date. Okay , so now we are on alert!! I can hardly wait. Yaaaay!!........G.
@G ... Yayyyy is right! We are so excited and Steph is very relaxed. It's to be Wednesday for sure!!!! ~J.
Allissa, Whyyy so seeerious?! : )
@Audrey ... I know, right? She wouldn't smile. ~J.
Are you going to camp out until the baby shows its face?
That little Allissa has definite shades of her grandma Jenny in her sweet face.
@Hobbit ... yeah girl, I'm encamped. They're putting her in the hospital at 6 a.m. on Wednesday so we know it won't be any later than tomorrow. I can't believe you can see me in Allissa. To me she looks completely like her daddy's side of the family! Unlike your grandkids, who really do look exactly like you. ~J.
Is it a BABY Yet???Hahaaaa....Can't wait!!
((((HUG)))))
@Donna ... it's a baby who's enjoying his/her safe place of rest and comfort a little too much! On 2/22, God willing, we'll meet the little person who's had us on tenterhooks for so long. Hugs back to you! ~J.
There's something in the eyes and her expression that is totally you. look at her eyes in this pic and then yours on the sidebar. Q.E.D.
@Hobbit ... You may be right! All I know is, twice today -- at Mel's school and in a neighbor's driveway -- I was mistaken for Stephanie's sister. I'm so high on that I don't care if you say both Allissa and I resemble chimpanzees. ~J.
Yep, Sue is right, her eyes are 'zactly like yours!! .....Baby tomorrow...SWEET ANTICIPATION!!!! Hugs from me too, and not the bird..Ha..............G.
@G ... ooooh yeah girl, tell that bird to stand down! Baaaahahahaha ... ~J.
