Baby Guy Preston Weber has arrived. Our seventh grandchild.
It was yesterday, between four and five in the afternoon. He weighed eight pounds, eleven ounces.
Brittany delivered in a snap, with no problems.
I have arrived
Ember was able to come over shortly afterwards, to greet her baby brother.
No; we were not there. We're going to meet him in a few weeks.
When some of the dust has settled, as it were.
Hi Mommy
In five weeks or so, we will have another baby boy: Chad and Erica's second son.
Our eighth grandchild. Then we will have four girls and four boys.
I think I'll sleep. No; I think I'll eat. Wait.
Four being my favorite number, I'm really into the sound of that.
Meanwhile we have all hungrily devoured the pictures and videos Andrew has sent.

As I commented on one of our family texts last night, you'd think Andrew was proud of that kid or something.
I admit to having some verklempt moments, remembering the day our own baby son was born more than thirty-four years ago.
Andrew Guy and Guy Preston
And now his baby son has been born.
And the years will tumble on willy-nilly like a blur, and we'll be astonished at how swiftly this baby grows.
And on and on it goes.
And that is all for now.

Congratulations to Andrew and Brittany. Guy is adorable.
Awwwww!!! He's ADORABLE! And even before you were talking about your Andrew being proud of little Guy, when I looked at the photo of him and the rest of the family on the bed...I was drawn immediately to his eyes!! That's the "look of pure love" people always talk about! What a beautiful gift...and family!
Congratulations sweet Jenny!
hugs
Donna
Oh, these last two posts have touched my heart and emotions. Yes, on and on it goes, the birthing and the dying and we could not change it if we tried, so let's enjoy all of today's moments before we are on the next ones.
If my son, who is 32, ever has a son, I will surely be having teary moments. A multitude of them.
Enjoy all those babies for they are truly a gift.

Oh, I've missed you Jenny! Obviously this baby news came as a surprise to me. What a handsome baby - what beautiful skin and alert eyes! Congratulations to the whole family. Stay safe and well, all of you.
I'm catching up!
I love all the pics! That is a beautiful family and I love seeing a proud Dad!
Isn't it funny how the older sibling suddenly looks so big when a baby arrives?
Congratulations to all. I'm so happy for all of you!
@Barb ... Well I have missed you too! I think of you often and wonder when you will surface again! I hope your beloved is well. I enjoyed your recent post. Erica's second baby is due in about a month! We are having quite a time. xoxo
@Mari ... I was JUST thinking that when Andrew sent us those pictures today -- Ember looks huge!!!! I remember when I'd have a newborn and then bathe my older baby for the first time, they felt like giant babies, especially their heads! Haaha it's so weird. xoxo
