Wordless Wednesday: lightning lighting light
What else to do on a rainy day when you can't swim, except play with Christmas lights you never put away in the attic?
And take 182 pictures to get just ONE of a bolt of lightning?
And move a lamp and a ceramic rooster to another side of the kitchen so they look all new?
That's how my feeble mind works.

Haha, I've tried to get a lightning shot before, it's hard unless you can lengthen the exposure and then you have to keep it perfectly still. So, good work Jenny!
Looks like Christmas in July at your house.
You know, I think my mom has that EXACT same ceramic rooster!
Sorry the weather prevented you from swimming. I, too, couldn't swim last night, but it wasn't because of weather. My pool has come down with a case of mustard (also called brown or yellow) algae! The water is perfectly clear, but there is this brown, slimy substance growing on the floor and walls. Any tips from the pool experts? Have y'all ever had this before?
You do have a way with pictures. Thanks for sharing.
I imagine it is hard to get a shot of lightning without snapping a lot of images. ha.
Sue ... I just did that "continuous" setting (my camera's not all that fancy) and kept my finger on the button till my arm got so tired I thought it was gonna break! Every time I thought I had captured it, for some reason I hadn't ... and then got the ONE shot!
@ Kev ... oh, yes. We battled yellow algae all one summer. It was miserable. TG upped the chlorine, plus we shock it ... if you want to know exactly how he solved it, shoot me an email and I'll give you his phone number. He'll be glad to tell you what to do!
@ Thanks Debbie! I was patient (for once) and it paid off!
I would say that you had a very productive day! Getting a good picture of lightning is not easy, my friend! Good job!
Cheryl ... I wish you could see all the amazing lightning I couldn't get a picture of! It's so elusive! So I am happy with that one shot.
