God bless the children
Just in case you are prone to fret that all is lost for our beloved country, I am here to remind you that it is not.
There are still families -- lots of them -- rearing their children to revere God and love America and the biblical principles on which she was founded.
While none of us are in danger of coming near to perfection, there are many of us who adhere to traditional values, and will do so until the end.
One such family are Andrew and Brittany and Ember, who are thriving at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Oklahoma, during a hot and contentious summer.
My daughter-in-law sends me pictures and videos of baby Ember several times a week, and I pore over them as though they were treasure maps.
Which, in a way, they are.
Not all treasure is silver and gold, mate.
Ember loves life and lives it large. She's a happy girl and it makes me happy to see that.
She and her mother are part of a moms group on base and have activities every day.
Andrew is busy in pilot training, and although I rarely talk to him, I know he is in his element as much as is humanly possible.
He was able to enjoy the Fourth of July weekend with his girls, and he relished every moment of that as well.
We had a busy and memorable holiday too, as I'm sure all of you did.
I have another post for you but I failed to get it all the way ready this week.
I'll do better and that's a promise.
Meanwhile, I hope you are enjoying a peaceful and relaxing weekend that's just as full of busyness as you want it to be.
God Bless America and confound her enemies both foreign and domestic. Especially domestic.
God bless the little children. God bless us every one.
And that is all for now.

Ember is so beautiful! Love little children; they are so full of wonder and innocence! You are so right, Jenny, there are lots of families out there raising kids biblically and responsibly. We never hear about them because the media wants to focus on all that is wrong in this country and want to divide us, not unite us.
Glad that Brittany and Ember have a mom's group they are part of. Essential for any young moms in so many ways!
Indeed, God bless the children and watch over them!
Looking forward to your next post when you get it together :)
betty
@betty ... you won't have long to wait! I have been working on that post all day. I get interrupted a lot, hahaha! YES you are correct that we do not hear about traditional Americans with positive affirmation or admiration anymore. Only contempt for such as us! But I don't care. We'll keep doing it the way we believe God has taught us is right. He will bless our efforts! xoxo
I can't even tell you how much I love this! Of course, just seeing Ember makes it special. What an adorable girl! I'm glad they are all doing well there. See her dressed in her Americana clothes makes it all the better! Good job Andrew and Brittany!
You are so blessed to have these gorgeous grandchildren!!
@Mari ... rearing up lovely youngsters to be good citizens is a challenge but also a great privilege. You know what I mean! xoxo
@Ginny ... Isn't that the truth? It's amazing. Your grands are precious too. xoxo
Delightful...
And heartwarming...
And I love the way her Mommy dresses her, and keeps bows in her hair. -smile-
Thank you, Dear One...
Oh my, that is one sweet little granddaughter that you have. That first outfit is a showstopper. I’ve never seen anything like it! By any chance, did Grandma Jenny send it? Lol!
I steer clear of politics, as my personal convictions fall on both sides of the fence. But, I will say that the loss of decent parenting has been this country’s biggest downfall. So, I’m always glad to read about strong families such as yours! Sending you love from the CLE!
I needed this post Jenny. I hurt inside when I hear about this new curriculum schools are adding. It just makes me so sad to watch this happen to our country. CRT ... and 1619.
I LOVE Ember's outfits.
Love, Carla
@Mari-Nanci ... Yes, the bows always catch at my heart too. I love how Brittany dresses and presents Ember. She's a classic ... precious! xoxo
@Bijoux ... I understand. We can be from different sides of any number of issues and still recognize that children benefit most from being reared by their actual parents (both of them) in a traditional environment. This country was made great by such and to any extent that she is still great, that is the reason. No I didn't send the outfit! I saw it for the first time in a picture, but wow what a picture, and doesn't she just fill that onesie out very nicely? Haaahahaha xoxo
@Carla ... It should hurt the heart of every true American, what is being taught in the public schools. Our children attended private faith-based schools all the way through (even college) and so are our grandchildren. Their little minds are too precious and impressionable to risk their being taught by the state to disregard the Bible, hate their country, and hold their own skin color in contempt. God help us. xoxo
Of course, I'm playing catch up again! Little Ember is growing and getting even cuter by the day (if that's possible). Glad to hear the family is settled and thriving. The love and family values passed to our children yield our greatest rewards here on earth.
@Barb ... always good to see you my friend! And yes that is the truth! Children deserve the best we can give them. xoxo
