Heroes all
NOTE: This post was put up in the wee hours of Memorial Day morning, consisting of a photograph and a short video with no commentary.
I wrote the following as a comment on a conservative web site on Memorial Day afternoon. After posting I read it over and decided it was so much what is truly in my heart today, I have copied it here.
The original post follows.

My heart is so heavy today. It is difficult for me to get my head around the enormity of a person of any age or gender, at any point in our nation’s history, in conflicts at home or abroad, laying down their life for their country.
I cannot fathom the depth of emotion their families experience and endure daily, but especially today, both in pride and anguish. All I can do is add my condolences along with my sincere and eternal gratitude for their sacrifice.
Each day of my life I thank God and all patriots for the matchless privilege of being an American.
Barack Obama is a disgrace to all that is noble, decent, righteous and free. He is an thoroughgoing blight on our exceptional and wholly faith-based nation.
I am glad he is in Chicago today so that not a single one of his traitorous skin cells falls on the sacred ground of Arlington National Cemetery.
It would be a shame and a pity for even a nanoportion of his craven DNA to mingle, however briefly or superficially, with that of our glorious military dead.
GOD Bless the United States of America and confound her enemies, both foreign and domestic … especially domestic.

I wish our military had a commander in chief that really cared about them, their families and honoring them today.
While our current POTUS is demonstratably no friend of the US Military, I support and believe in them, and remember what those who have fallen have done for me. Thank you is never enough. But thank you is necessarily said.
That was a really touching video and very fitting for the day. I thank our veterans.
@ Debbie ... agreed. We're wasting our time, though, wishing Barack Obama would have a speck of emotion for any member of the United States Military or our glorious war dead. He's a cold, angry, empty man. Job One: GET HIM OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE.
@ SF ... I support and believe in them too, and thank God for those willing to serve that we may be protected, and die that we may be free. POTUS is a disgrace to all Americans.
@ Mari ... praying your dear son is well and safe as he serves with honor!
