I had a hand in this

TG and I made our way on Saturday up to Salisbury, North Carolina.
Among other day-trippy type things, we did a bit of graving.
In Chestnut Hill Cemetery we found these fine dearly departed folk.
No; wondrous as it would have been, the Fingers and the Nails were not interred side by side.
Nor could I find any evidence that their families had mingled in marriage, resulting in a Mrs. Susie (or some such) Finger Nail.
There was a Barrow too, but I searched in vain for Wheel. More's the pity.
I mean no disrespect. May they all rest in peace.
And that is all for now.

Happy Monday

So, my bloglovin feed showed up with just the first photo and I knew whose blog it was before I opened it! :)
Names are a funny thing. My mom used to talk about a man she worked for before I was born. His last name was Lear. He had a daughter and named her Shanda. I wouldn't do that to my child!
@Mari ... haaaaaaahahahaa our dear Henry, Mother's husband for these 35 years, has a daughter whose married name is Leir. They named their dog Chanda. But anyone who does that to a child deserves to suffer. That being said, someone I worked with once, whose last name was Book, told me that a relative of hers by the same name had married a Miss Cook. LOLOLOLOL xoxo
How funny, but yes I hope they're resting in peace.
Reminds of my uncle urging me in a cemetery to see what he was looking at.
A small grave with the name 'someone Leg'. It hurt to think a baby had passed. Then my unc started laughing. It wasn't a child, but someone's leg.
xoxo
@Sally ... oh dear. That's a good one! Sad, but interesting that the leg got its own burial. I hope its owner walked the earth for many more years. xoxo
I've heard of Chris P. Bacon! I love that commercial.
@Cheryl ... that's even better than Dusty Broome! xoxo
You make me smile - thanks!
@Barb ... a little gallows humor sometimes comes in handy, haaahaha. xoxo
