Coasting on out
Myrtle Beach released us this morning on our own recognizance.
We parted on good terms.
On the way there I wouldn't have known if we'd taken the wrong road and were headed for Nashville or points west because all I could see was this:
But eventually -- although it didn't look like this when we arrived because it was much wetter -- we made it here:
Where during our stay -- although NOT according to plan -- our automobile spent one entire day being expensively cosseted here:
But I don't want to belabor that relatively minor aggravation because on that very same day we finally saw this:
And I did this:
So that I could then do this:
And a lot of this:
And there were pretty beachy sights like this:
And happy flappy things like this:
And we walked the boards and got hungry and ate one of these:
And it was delicious, and then we walked some more and wondered what it would be like to live in a place like this:
And we debated whether these things serve as giant torches at night, and I said yes, I believe they do:
And we admired the fountain stuck in the front of a building with pigeons chilling on it, just above the neon YES:
And I liked this chartreuse British phone box so I snapped its photo, graffiti and all:
And finally, instead of only wet, gray skies, we saw one of these:
And then we slept again in a huge comfy bed that was kind of like a cloud, until it was time to come home.
Happy Sunday!

What fun! What beauty! Glad you didn't let that car trouble get you down.
I could "feel" the ocean on MY toes!!Hahaaaaa
Glad the trip turned out great...forgetting the car troubles....
hughugs
So glad you were able to find the sunny side of things. Welcome home.
I hate traveling in rain like that, but looks like the trip turned out to be great. Makes me want to visit there. Our temp last night was in the 40's which means Winter is on the way. I dread it more each year, because I'm a warm weather person.
Great pics.
